This position will perform advanced HR transactional work including problem identification and resolution on behalf of the Minnesota State Human Resources Service Center. Provides technical HR support to the supervisors and employees of the assigned colleges and universities in the areas of HR transaction entry, analysis and reconciliation; benefits, retirement, faculty salary and credentialing; leave entry and reporting.
Note: Work location for external applicants will be Hennepin Technical College - Brooklyn Park campus. Internal candidates may work remotely from their home campus.
2 years human resources experience processing HR transactions, payroll, benefits or similar work
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Ability to run repots and queries.
Analytical skills sufficient to audit data and identify and correct errors.
Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers on the phone or through written correspondence and effectively communicate information to customers on the phone or through written correspondence and effectively communicate information with tact and diplomacy in a timely matter.
Knowledge of Federal and MN Employment laws.
Ability to establish and maintain record keeping systems and procedures.
Human Resources experience working in the Minnesota State system (formerly MnSCU)
Experience with federal and state employment laws
Experience working with HRIS Systems
Demonstrated experience maintain and working with confidential material
