Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for the position of Sr. Human Resources Generalist. Working closely with the Executive Director and a seasoned team of professionals, the successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in the area of employee relations. Additional responsibilities include conducting compensation analyses; assisting with the salary administration process and with benefits administration; overseeing leave management and workers’ compensation management; and serving on or leading committees or work teams to support University objectives, as needed.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred. Extensive experience of at least seven years may be considered in lieu of a college degree. Experience in the following is required: the ability to work effectively and autonomously with all levels within the organization and maintain flexibility and adaptability; proven effective problem-resolution skills; ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail; comprehensive knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and governmental compliance requirements related to HR management and employment; and a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR information systems. Advanced technical skills and analytical skills are strongly preferred.
