The HR Generalist will act as the primary HR business partner supporting a wide range of departments. This position must be able to work across HR and the organization to align HR objectives with those of the business units the role supports and will implement strategies to attract, develop and retain talent.
Consult with department management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to department staff and managers (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Coordinate the performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
Ability to communicate across all levels
Ability to provide HR counsel across all HR disciplines
Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
Work with appropriate human resources staff to ensure proper training of managers especially in the areas interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety and sexual harassment.
Participate in new hire orientation to welcome, integrate and foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
Coordinate salary administration and bonus program to ensure compliance and equity within organization and with competitive industry rates.
Oversee or coordinate special projects as assigned.
This position is classified as Exempt. Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, some local travel to company facilities is required.

5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
In-depth expertise in employee relations, diversity, benefits, recruitment, HRIS, employee records, employment and labor law, and management development training
Experience with a full range of human resources functions and demonstrated prior success implementing HR strategies, practices, and procedures
The successful candidate will be self-confident and resilient, and possess the executive seasoning and maturity that comes with experience. The candidate must be very dynamic and forward thinking, and must have visibility and record of accomplishment that will enable him/her to immediately establish credibility with all levels of individuals within and external to the organization.
