Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Inc. has an opening for a Human Resources/Benefits Administrator. This position administers, coordinates, and oversees human resources function and administers the Cooperative’s employee benefit programs.
Advertise for job openings, receives and process applications for employment, schedule interviews, and assist managers and supervisors with interview process. Perform all pre-employment screenings, background and reference checks.
Conducts new employee orientation and exit interviews. Prepares all forms, paperwork, announcements, and notifications on employee status to appropriate personnel.
Maintains files in accordance with applicable law and needs of management, including personnel records, benefit files, and medical files. Maintain confidentiality of documents, materials and conversations.
Maintains current knowledge of state and federal employment compliance to ensure compliance with personnel policies.
Participates in the development of the cooperative’s policies and procedures and reviews periodically to determine if any revisions are needed. Communicates additions and revisions to employees.
Serves as counsel to staff for effective resolution of personnel issues within established legal boundaries and cooperative’s policies. Conduct investigations, compiles notes, and supporting documentation.
Assist in the annual review, preparation and administration of the wage and salary program.
Assist in the development of position descriptions for all positions for use in recruiting, hiring, transferring, and promoting personnel.
Coordinate annual performance evaluations. Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Assists with worker’s compensation claims and program.
Administers Family Medical Leave Act and coordinates with departments on administration of applicable leave policies and benefits.
Administers all aspects of employee benefit programs, serving as liaison between the Cooperative and benefit carriers.
Ensures employee benefits are understood by providing employee orientation and education.
Performs processing of all forms and transactions relating to benefit programs accurately and timely.
Prepare annual benefit renewal data, analyze benefit costs, recommend alternatives, and present program changes to staff and employees.
Prepare annual enrollment material and educate participants on upcoming changes.
Distribute all benefit related documents to appropriate recipients.
Answers all inquiries of benefit questions timely and courteously.
Completes and files annual compliance reports for all benefit programs.
Develops and administers the Cooperative’s wellness program.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field highly desirable. Previous experience in human resources preferred.
