Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, the Benefits Assistant will provide customer services to internal and external customers while executing a variety of clerical and technical duties in support of Benefit Services. Perform benefit and retirement processes in accordance with established human resource and state and federal guidelines and regulations. This position provides customer service to many and varied clients; explains rules, policies and procedures to classified, exempt and/or academic staff; produces reports; gathers, organizes and processes documentation and enrollment forms; and reviews, develops and maintains accurate electronic and paper records, files and correspondence; develop and provide benefits training. Maintain and ensure a confidential environment at all times.
Required Qualifications: Three years of office experience including at least six months of experience in a human resource or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.
