Avixa is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week). This position will be responsible for providing support for the department, screening resumes and coordinating interviews, assisting with the onboarding process, scheduling new employee orientations, providing benefits administration support, HRIS data integrity and support, and managing employment records to ensure quality assurance of employee data.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for fielding and tracking of communications in the shared HR and Careers email inboxes
Posts open positions on job boards and designated sites
Screens resumes and distributes qualifying ones as applicable to hiring managers
Coordinates interview process: reference checking, applicant testing, and offer letters
Processes personnel actions in the HRIS System and in written form as applicable
Assists with updates to the HR intranet, organizational charts, and other corporate resources
Supports the new employee onboarding process
Manages and maintains current employee files both electronic and paper
Ensures compliance with I-9 Form completion and E-Verify processing
Generates and reconciles insurance invoices
Responds to benefits inquiries on new hire enrollments, enrollment changes, plan detail and other general inquiries
Assists with COBRA administration
Assists as requested with system development and enhancements
Responsible for other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR and/or benefits administration. Associate degree (HR related preferred), or two years’ experience and/or training/certification may be substituted for the education.
Ability to work autonomously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook
ADP Workforce Now system experience preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute duties
Efficient time management skills to organize and manage multiple tasks
