Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Payroll & Human Resources Manager oversees the completion and accuracy of comprehensive Payroll, Time Reporting and all UCPath transactions. The incumbent is responsible for payroll/personnel for approximately 35 career, 5 contract, 300 student and 200 instructor and other part time employees. The incumbent ensures conformance with staff personnel policies and procedures as well as Collective Bargaining Agreements. Responsibilities also include HR management such as Workers Compensation and Disability as well as overall management of FMLA and other Leave of Absences. The incumbent manages department-wide service requests in Campus Recreation and serves as liaison with UCPath, Human Resources, Campus Recreation Staff/Supervisors/Managers and external constituents. The incumbent provides planning, analysis and organizational assessment relating to all levels of Human Resources Administration, contract and policy interpretation, legal requirements employee and labor relations, recruitment, employment compensation practices and classification analysis. The incumbent handles all departmental travel processing.
