HR Partner coordinates Human Resource activities for assigned divisions, acting as a liaison between Human Resources and assigned divisions/departments. The position serves in a HR generalist collaborating with HR staff and client staff, and ensuring coordinating HR efforts for clients by providing guidance, consulting, process direction, and case updates to supervisors and area leadership in employment policies, processes, and regulations. The incumbent proactively works on creating and maintaining Gonzaga University as a welcoming and inclusive environment for all through outreach, consulting, policy advisement and training that is founded in the mission of Gonzaga University.
1.Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field 2.Three (or more) year's increasingly responsible experience in human resources and/or equal opportunity 3.Current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations 4. Two years demonstrated ability conducting thorough, impartial investigations into employee relations and/or harassment/discrimination issues 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to intricate and/or sensitive job-related processes to internal and external customers. 6. Demonstrated experience in interpreting and enforcing policy with high-level customer service implementation 7. Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality and discretion 8. Able to work non-traditional hours on a periodic, as-needed basis
