The Division of Talent and Culture is seeking applications for multiple openings for HR Partners and Senior HR Partners. The HR Partners ( HRP ) and Senior HR Partners (SHRP) will be located in specific client areas throughout the University system, and will collaborate with management to enable measurable impacts in employee engagement and productivity.
Serving as trusted advisors ensuring alignment with Talent and Culture (T&C) practices and initiatives, the SHRP and HRP formulate partnerships across the Talent and Culture (T&C) Division and Shared Services to facilitate the delivery of value-added services to leadership and employees that reflect the University and the College/Division's values and objectives . The HRP provides project and operational support to managers in Divisions/Colleges and as part of the T&C division. The SHRP provides dynamic solutions using experience, data analysis, and organizational agility to guide decision making and make recommendations to leaders. The SHRP also provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders in order to support the Colleges'/Divisions' vision, mission, and overall objectives.
In order to be successful in these positions, the ideal candidates will:
Provide performance management guidance to client areas' management through coaching, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
Manage and resolve employee-relations issues.
Create a people plan for the client areas and their various departments, taking into account the broader Talent and Culture agenda and specific issues that may exist within the client area.
Implement talent management processes for employees in departments within the client areas and provide thought-leadership on issues that may assist in improved operation and performance of the client area, as well as the Division of Talent and Culture.
Embed the client area strategy in the guidance and support of all departments and levels of that organization.
Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and restructuring, ensuring that core Talent and Culture processes are applied appropriately and in a compliant manner.
Execute Center of Expertise (COE) strategies for people management and talent management.
Develop plans for client areas to ensure that resources are managed strategically, including an approach to recruitment of key personnel.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with other Talent and Culture teams to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that address current problems and avoid future ones.
Develop programs and methods that aid in the achievement of measurable improvements in results and which support actionable people management solutions and strategies.
Build and develop trusted relationships with various departmental leaderships.
Team with other Talent and Culture areas in determining approaches to matters of recruitment, compensation, and other Talent and Culture functions in order to ensure that the programs in place are effective and efficient.
Work collaboratively with department heads throughout their client areas, assisting them in understanding compensation and rewards programs, training and development programs, and introducing and reinforcing proper management and communication practices.
Work with stakeholders throughout their client areas with a view of further driving the people management agenda that will in turn support the achievement of the client areas' overall goals.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business or any other related field or equivalent knowledge.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a professional HR position or equivalent experience.
Senior HR Partner:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business or any other related field. Master's degree preferred. People-management qualification such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or CCP preferred.
Experience: M ust have 3+ years of professional HR experience; HR Partner experience preferred.
HR Partner and Senior HR Partner:
Strong understanding and experience working with multiple human resource disciplines.
Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices.
Strong communication skills.
Capable of gathering and interpreting raw information and data, documenting findings, and drawing appropriate recommendations.
Capable of assessing the performance of existent management programs within the client areas and recommending changes where improvement is necessary and recommending new approaches in order to improve overall performance and effectiveness.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects.
Ability to form strong working relationships with others, earning their trust and being able to influence management and employees in the client areas with diplomacy and tact.
