HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR , Brain and Cognitive Sciences (BCS) , to coordinate human resources (HR) activities and participate in design of new/ad hoc activities for the BCS. Will advise on HR policies, procedures, and best practices and provide input on BCS programs, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities will include coordinating activities such as recruitment, performance management, compensation, onboarding, rewards and recognition, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations; interpreting and advising faculty and staff on HR issues, policies, and procedures; partnering with managers to create and/or revise position descriptions; onboarding new employees; conducting exit interviews; assisting with the design and administration of the rewards and recognition program and staff events; providing guidance to managers and employees on general employee relations and interpersonal issues and people management; assisting management with developing and implementing programs/processes that promote a diverse and inclusive workforce; serving on various BCS committees and/or projects; performing audits of HR data to ensuring compliance; collecting and compiling Outside Professional Activities (OPA) data; processing HR transactions such as hires, transfers, leaves of absence, and salary changes; coordinating visa processing for postdocs, staff, visitors, etc.; assisting with faculty search and tenure/promotion processes; and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years' HR experience; knowledge of HR laws, principles, and policies acquired through practical experience; discretion and good judgment with highly sensitive confidential information; excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills; sensitivity to organizational dynamics; and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, on-line calendar software, Apple/Mac programs, and WebEx software.
