Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Director, Human Resources, will be a focused results-oriented leader. This role requires a unique blend of skills and experience in Human Resources, including Benefits, Compensation, Employee and Labor Relations, Recruitment, HRIS and Compliance. The position requires a versatile HR professional who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the organization, leverage their HR expertise and business acumen, and be a hands-on leader. The Director partners with the senior Leadership team to develop and implement a strategic human resources plan with long range and short-term initiatives that contribute to Rady Children's objective of being an employer of choice.
Master’s Degree in area of study related to the position
5 years of experience; 10+ years preferred
Pediatric hospital experience preferred
SPHR Certification preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve organizational results and outcomes
Experience at HR Director level in a combination of healthcare and non-healthcare industries where HR best practices have been developed and implemented
Thorough working knowledge of Federal and California employment/labor laws and regulations
Seasoned professional in the area of managing HR professionals in multiple functional areas: recruiting, employee and labor relations, talent and organizational development, performance management, succession planning, training, compensation, benefits and regulatory compliance
