BPMI is hiring a full-time Compensation Specialist to join its Human Resources Department. This position will play an integral part of the department working as part of the Total Rewards team to help develop, execute, and administer the compensation programs, policies, processes, and systems.
Design, implement, and coordinate the company's base and variable pay programs and policies as a key component of the total rewards strategy.
Create and monitor the annual company salary expense budget.
Create the annual salary increase request and the annual salary administrative plan, and then administer the plan throughout the year.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs.
Ensure the uniform and equitable application of HR policies as it applies to the total compensation program including updating policies and procedures to ensure full compliance.
Project lead the preparation of statistical studies and reports as required by legislation or organizational needs.
Assist management in union negotiations on wage and hour matters, when needed.
Develop and implement training programs for managers and employees on compensation programs.
Build and maintain effective working relationships will all levels of company management.
Coordinate and respond to external and internal audits.
Serve as a liaison with external organizations and individuals.
Conduct occasional collaborative HR assignments outside of the primary HR function based on business needs such as with new HRIS developments, employee benefit administration, etc.
Maintain awareness and apply knowledge of trends, best practices, and legal developments in Human Resources.

A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Business Management/Administration or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of four years relevant experience.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Proficiency in HRIS Compensation systems.
Professional certification in compensation preferred.
Experience in a government contracting environment, including FAR compliance and DCAA audits preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
Demonstrated project management skills preferred.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen due to government security clearance requirements.
