The Human Resources office at The New School seeks a HR Operations Analyst in the function responsible for the overall management of MyDay HR HCM processes and data integrity for the University. The primary focus will be on supporting transaction processing for the approximately 800 Academic Student Workers at the University to ensure that the provisions of the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement are followed. The HR Operations Analyst will report directly to the Assistant Director of Human Resources Operations.
Create and manage appointment letters and payments on behalf of Colleges and Administrative Departments to all represented student workers on an as-needed basis. Maintain the two-day Service Level agreement for completing this process.
Utilize WorkDay EIBs and reports to manage student payments, union increases, mass data changes and fiscal and calendar year-end clean up.
In conjunction with staff in HR Ops team, manage processing for the employee's full life cycle in Workday; including hiring, position management and time accruals.
Identify and monitor the integrity of the University's employee data through analysis and research.
Actively participate in the ongoing redesign of HR Operations processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide systems testing support, including analyzing results, for MyDay releases, changes in functionality and system glitches.
Actively participate in the planning, development and implementation of MyDay training to support HR Partners and Student HR Partners who administer HR transaction processing for New School employees.
Process Foreign National new hire onboarding documentation into Windstar for tax purposes
Serve as a front-line information source for student workers and their managers, answering basic questions about student employment and referring questions and problems to HR, Labor Relations, Payroll, and the Office of the Provost as needed.
Assist in special projects as needed.
Maintain personnel files.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
