The University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Nursing is accepting applications for an Admin Specialist I position. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Finance & Operations. This position is responsible for the human resource functions of the College of Nursing. This position is also responsible for the basic facilities requests of the college. This position has access to sensitive information and the holder must have the utmost discretion and confidentiality of materials and data. This position must be able to work independently and complete tasks accurately and on time.
*Manage new hire paperwork (including everification process) for part-time (on-site and remote) faculty hires, student assistants and graduate assistants *Initiate faculty hire paperwork *Manages Faculty search paperwork, candidate travel and on-site scheduling *Initiate personnel change paper and e-forms *Initiate position creation & change e-forms *Initiate IRIS termination & checkout process *Coordinate with Center for International Education (CIE) to complete H1B or other international student/employee paperwork *Enter biweekly and monthly time *Enter additional pays (including summer school pay) as directed by Assistant Dean *Prepare letters, documents, reports for the Assistant Dean related to HR *Assist Assistant Dean with exempt & non-exempt searches including scheduling candidates and distribution of related materials *Maintain departmental HR files and records *Assist in planning and scheduling staff retreats, trainings and other functions *Responsible for managing CON building facilities work order requests *Responsible for annual space verification *Responsible for key/swipe access request entry *Responsible for copier maintenance, readings and training *Assists with annual parking verification process *Responsible for furniture and equipment installation and surplus
