You will provide an ongoing focus on the compliance landscape for Human Resources. In order to achieve this, you will encompass evaluating the effectiveness of controls and make recommendations for improvements. In addition, you will monitor legal changes in government agencies that regulate employee practices providing insight and advice to HR to maintain compliance in policies, programs and administration of HR areas. Areas where you will oversee annual activities such as HIPAA (will serve as the HIPAA Compliance Officer), Drug Free Workplace, benefit reporting, OFCCP regulations, I-9 compliance and all compliance requirements for HR. You will also be responsible for facilitating preparation for the IRCC meeting in partnership with HRLT, other managers in HR. HR Leadership Team (HRLT) will value your research, and assessment of risk and you will report to them on upcoming changes to compliance, and recommend strategies to mitigate risk. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with a min. of 5 years previous experience. Legal related knowledge. Has an understanding of the Human Resources may have worked in an HR office, or consulting firm. Knowledge of HR policies and legal regulations. Ability to gather data from multiple sources, research regulations and make decisions on how to implement or its effects. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation to work with a variety of people. Understanding of compensation and benefits principles and general human resources. Knowledge of ERISA, retirement plans, and HIPAA. Requires analytical skills in researching and making recommendations and implementation. Requires legal oriented thought process. Ability to weigh risks.(#LI-POST) (post)
