The Human Resources (HR) department is seeking a collaborative systems analyst who will transition us into the future while learning about our past. The Human Resources Systems Analyst position will support college initiatives by providing technical support for processes and systems utilized by the Human Resources department, including activities related to payroll, benefits, classification, and reporting. This role will include determining the needs within the functional areas, reviewing system upgrades, modifications, enhancements, and the impact on processes. The systems analyst will also provide support for tasks, system maintenance, employee payment processing and record keeping. This role will proactively recommend new technological solutions, new uses of existing technology, and changes to processes to achieve department goals. The position is embedded in the Human Resources office, and will be working directly with managers and staff inside and outside of the Human Resources department. They will collaborate with Information Technology and HR to analyze, develop, modify, and maintain applications that support the processing, workflow, and management of HR and payroll data. This position will assist in providing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) analysis and provides data processing support for the HR office.

High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) -AND- Five years of full-time equivalent relevant work experience
Associates Degree from an accredited institution -AND- Three years of full-time equivalent relevant work experience
*Relevant experience is defined as, but not limited to: writing programming code; coordinating/implementing projects; analyzing data sets.
Understanding of Human Resources and Payroll processes
Familiarity with privacy practices and laws (ie: FERPA, HIPPA)
Ability to be confidential
Work in a self-directed and self-motivated manner as well as to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Clearly communicate information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical staff
Analyze and solve complex problems
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment
Ability to learn and apply new technologies
Manage projects including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate into application and operational requirements
Ability to pay keen attention to detail
Three years of full-time equivalent experience writing code in a variety of programming languages which include, but are not limited to: PL/SQL, SQL, Java
Human Resources and/or Payroll Experience
Prior work experience with HRIS/ATS/HCM or similar systems
Experience working with Ellucian's Banner
Experience providing technical assistance to non-technical staff
