Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, the Associate Director serves as the first point of contact responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service to all employees within CBS in the facilitation of all talent acquisition initiatives.
Partners with the Senior Director(s) to drive employee performance, morale, and efficiency through the effective delivery of day-to-day HR functions modeling exceptional customer service that meets the standards of excellence of CBS.
In collaboration with the Senior Director(s), provides concepts and innovative ideas to streamline the new hire onboarding process. Oversees and facilitates the new employee orientation, for officers and support staff, creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for new employees to ensure successful assimilation into the position and culture of the School.
Develops strategies using information gathered from communications with key stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts at the School. Identifies areas of opportunity for partnership with hiring managers to create search committees, recruiting plans, and candidate profiles.
Conducts full lifecycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for designated searches. Independently works with hiring managers and candidates across the recruitment cycle to manage the recruiting needs and identify trends. Manages communications between HR, the candidates, the hiring manager, and the search committee. Coordinates candidate interviews and manages candidate expectations.
Builds applicant pipelines using multiple channels to identify, source, and recruit candidates, including job fairs, Internet job boards, employee referrals, and other sourcing efforts.
Partners with the School's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to create strategies, promote and advance the school's diversity initiatives.
Manages the presence of CBS HR across various Social Media platforms. Partners with strategic communications to create meaningful content and message the employee experience. Acts, as a brand ambassador, shares the culture and engagement of current and prospective employees.
Conducts research, manages projects and timelines, and participates as a hands-on contributor toward the successful implementation of various Talent Services initiatives.
Participates in the annual Performance Management process through the delivery of relevant trainings and workshops.
Coordinates trainings, workshops, and the annual staff celebration working closely with the Senior Director(s). Works in collaboration with the Senior Director to attend various labor relations meetings as needed.
In collaboration with the HR Manager, serves as a back-up for management of personnel actions such as new hires, salary and/or title changes, upgrades, terminations, leaves of absence, etc., using PAC. Provides research and problem resolution with HRPC, Payroll, and Benefits. Serves as a backup for maintaining and updating departmental organizational charts.
Additional responsibilities and strategic projects as assigned by the Senior Director.
Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years related experience required.
Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal, written, customer service, and presentation skills. Demonstrated proficiency in computer/technical skills, including Microsoft Office, Visio, particularly in the creation of spreadsheets and the use of a database preferred. Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work well under deadlines required. Must be a proven team player, able to work cooperatively in small groups as well as independently, manage various projects with changing deadlines. Must exercise tact and discretion when interacting with the School's diverse constituencies, including faculty, students, and administrators. Discretion and judgment with sensitive and confidential matters are essential. A confidentiality agreement will be required. Must be able to work evenings as needed.
Familiarity with HTML strongly preferred.
