The HR/Payroll Coordinator is an integral position within the Athletics Department and will report directly to the Assistant Athletics Director for HR Operations. This position will serve as the department's primary HCM Specialist, executing HR and payroll transactions in Oracle on behalf of the department's 200+ employees as well as more than 100 student employees. This position will also be responsible for additional assigned areas of concentration including student employment, volunteers, and camps/clinics.

Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary Human Capital Management (HCM) Specialist for both Athletics and Student Recreation
Handle all Oracle transactions for more than 200 full-time employees as well as 100+ student employees
These transactions include new hires, position changes, payroll, salary changes, ending employment, etc.
Troubleshoot all Oracle issues on behalf of the department's employees, working with university HR as needed.
Oversee student employment for Athletics and Student Recreation, including the ability to operate and make decisions autonomously regarding departmental policies and procedures with the intent to optimize related practices
Serve as the point person for all inquiries regarding hiring student employees
Handle the student employment process from beginning to end (new hire, federal work study, payroll, ending employment, etc.)
Serve as the department's liaison to the university Student Employment office
Coordinate employment efforts for assigned sports camps and clinics
Ensure all camp/clinic employees are cleared to work prior to the start date
Handle all Protection of Minors compliance for assigned camps
Work in conjunction with compliance to ensure all sport camp employees and payroll is in accordance with NCAA and SEC regulations
Manage the department's volunteer process, staying compliant with all departmental and university policies, while also ensuring NCAA and SEC requirements are met as well
Handle all volunteer paperwork, ensuring all required forms are completed in fully and signed by both volunteer and department representative
Manage background check process for all volunteers, including SEC and NCAA background checks where required
Work in conjunction with compliance to ensure all volunteers are in line with SEC and NCAA regulations
Maintain department volunteer records, both past and present
Assist the Assistant AD for HR Operations with onboarding for new employees
Generate salary, payroll, and/or employment reports as requested
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director for HR Operations
Profile of an Ideal Candidate
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Prior experience with collegiate and/or professional athletics HR/Payroll is strongly preferred.
General knowledge of labor laws is preferred.
High level of organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities is necessary.
Ability to handle and communicate confidential and sensitive information is necessary.
Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations are preferred.
