Position Purpose: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for Payroll administration for several companies under Green Brick Partners and provides various other general HR assistance.
Payroll Processing & Administration
Administers and processes payroll for several companies.
Works closely with managers on matters that affect payroll involving controls, forms, processes, calculations, and policies .
Trains employees and managers in various modules of the Paylocity - Self-Service, online Timesheets, PTO requests and Web Benefits.
Responsible for accurate computing, withholding, and deductions associated with proper payment of employees.
Works with the payroll service company for proper payment of the quarterly taxes and garnishment withholding payments.
May work with the payroll service company for to resolving issues.
Develop technical specialization of the Paylocity system for producing reports, answering questions, and resolving issues.
Works with various affiliate companies’ Accounting Managers and CFOs for payroll reporting, payroll banking, etc.
Works with Internal Auditors and external auditors to provide reports, information, and backup for audit testing purposes.
Maintains records, timesheets, and completes reports as necessary for coordination with accounting, HR, the CFO, and the auditors.
Assures accuracy of employee 401(k) deposits through the bridge from payroll to the 401(k) service provider.
Reconciles benefits invoices against payroll, and processes with Accounting for timely payment.
Assists employees with set-up of their HSA accounts, processes timely employer HSA contributions, and assures accuracy of payroll employee HSA deposits.
Assist with the Open Enrollment process.
May process benefit data payroll reports as needed.
May provide HR coordination of services regarding policies and procedures.
Assists with various office administration as required.
May support the Director of HR and HR Manager in carrying out the HR program for the company.
General filing and personnel file maintenance.
Education and specific experience and training requirements:
One or more years’ experience in payroll processing.
One or more years’ experience as a human resources generalist.
Experience with outsourced payroll provider and software required. Experience with Paylocity is preferred.
Familiar with laws, regulations, and standard processing regarding payroll administration and human resources.
Certification in Payroll Administration (preferred) and/or PHR preferred.
Requires utmost confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Requires savvy in working with people and skilled at being a promoter of company morale, values and mission.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
