The Human Resources and Compensation Specialist will research, gather, and compensation analyze data to determine appropriate salary levels for job positions. The Specialist will provide support for a variety of compensation policies, procedures, and practices including, but not limited to: reviewing and verifying salary information, reviewing transfers and promotions for appropriate salary information, etc. The Specialist will also be responsible for generating reports, updating job descriptions, maintaining the compensation database, maintaining all approved changes to our existing salary structure, etc. He/she will research any salary discrepancies and present the results for consideration. Additionally the Specialist will assist the other area of Human Resources including Benefits, Employment, and Recruiting.
Bachelors Degree Required; Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources administration with emphasis in compensation and benefits administration, preferably in a healthcare setting

Must be skilled in job analysis, job evaluation and market pricing jobs
Ability to understand and manage compensation survey requirements
Must have experience in salary planning processes, which includes merit, adjustment and promotion increases
Experience evaluating markets and trends affecting compensation
Understanding of regulatory practices such as FLSA requirements
Experience with relevant analytical tools, with a strong focus on spreadsheet applications
Critical HR Competencies, including process management, analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making
Demonstrated strength in planning, organizing, and executing
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written; presentation facilitation and some basic training skills
Proficient in Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to work with little direction, manage conflict and manage multiple priorities.
Must be detailed oriented, sets high standards for self, comfortable with change and acts with integrity, must have the highest integrity with confidential information.
