Assistant Professor and Program Chair, Human Resource Management Program - 000407
The University of Richmond's School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor and Program Chair of the Human Resource Management Program in SPCS. The position is a twelve-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with responsibility for oversight of the Human Resource Management (HRM) degree programs, teaching and advising students in HRM, conducting a scholarly agenda for eligibility of promotion, and School and University service.
The initial appointment will be made for a probationary period of up to three years at the Assistant Professor level, to begin no later than August 1, 2020, with opportunity for subsequent reappointment in five-year increments. The appointment provides for full faculty status in SPCS and University of Richmond with opportunity for advancement. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in a discipline related to Human Resources; a juris doctorate will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a successful record of teaching in a higher education setting with a clear interest in adult and continuing education; experience working with undergraduate and graduate students; practice in, service to, or understanding of the field of human resources; and demonstrated leadership abilities.
