The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and provide human resources guidance and support to MGUH leaders, more than 5000 associates and upwards of 1000 physicians. This new leader will have the opportunity to direct the operational, personnel and financial activities of the Human Resources function, and will join a collegial, professional and highly talented leadership team.
Additional opportunities for this new leader include:
Driving the implementation of system programs at the entity level while working with leaders system-wide to ensure alignment of policies, processes, best practices and the uniform delivery of exceptional quality service;
Joining MGUH leaders, associates and clinicians in embracing the MGUH culture of cura personalis - caring for the whole person, finding opportunities each day to create a professional, safe and supportive environment for patients, families and each other;
Developing exceptional relationships and engagement with organizational leaders, clinicians, labor representatives, associates and internal and external customers of the organization; and,
Providing human resources leadership and support in the development of MGUH’s new Medical/Surgical Pavilion, an entirely new, innovative medical facility that is scheduled to open in 2021.
The successful candidate will bring:
Exceptional communication, customer service and organizational skills;
At least 5-years demonstrated human resources leadership experience;
Deep experience with departmental budgeting, employee relations and relevant HR technologies, laws and best practices;
A Masters Degree in a related field; and,
Candidates with labor relations experience and/or human resources certifications are strongly encouraged to apply.
