HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) BUSINESS PARTNER , Office of the Vice Chancellor (OVC) , to assist in developing and executing HR strategy in support of management and employees in assigned areas. Will to drive HR initiatives related to recruitment, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, culture, change management, workforce planning, people development, and coaching; provide expert advice and guidance to front-line managers and employees with regard to employee relations; work with managers and staff to proactively identify and resolve HR concerns; identify training and development gaps and work with internal and external resources to close those gaps and create a culture of continuous development; and lead or participate in a range of strategic HR initiatives related to diversity and inclusion, training and development, rewards and recognition, and staff engagement.
REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree; at least four years of HR generalist experience; proven experience resolving complex employee relations issues; ability to build trusted relationships with staff at all levels, listen to and process issues in an unbiased manner, and make sound recommendations; working knowledge of human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, performance management, and federal and state employment laws; demonstrated commitment to supporting an inclusive workplace that values differences; excellent communication skills; comfort voicing opinions and ideas and willingness and ability to deliver candid feedback/coaching; strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; commitment to applying a high touch, quality service approach to internal stakeholders; and ability to collaborate, influence, and drive results with tact.
