Performs Human Resources related duties at the corporate level, functions as a business partner to provide comprehensive and consultative human resources support to department directors by managing matters primarily dealing with administration of policies, procedures and programs, departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development and employment. Ensures compliance with all federal and state employment laws. Coordinates and provides support on other human resources projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Advises managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, diversity, and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
Performs difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
Identifies staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
Plans, directs, and coordinates work activities of staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
Plans, organizes, directs, controls or coordinates the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of the organization.
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems programs.
Ensures that all regulatory and Company policies are followed and maintained.
Required Work Experience:
4-6 years previous experience in recruiting, payroll, benefits and knowledge of employment law is required.
•General office equipment including computer and peripherals, copier, scanner, fax, calculator. Telephone, cellular phone, headset usage. •Prior experience with HRIS preferred.
