Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Human Resouces Staff Associate for The Office of Employment Equity (OEE). This position reports to the Associate Director for the OEE. The HR Staff Associate provides administrative support and performs a wide range of sensitive staff support functions, acting as a confidential staff assistant when necessary.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Handles scheduling and maintains office calendar.
Addresses client inquires, acts as a liaison for professional staff, and cooperates with employees throughout the university.
Maintains relevant spreadsheets and updates departmental databases as required.
Collaborates with University Human Resources (UHR) IT staff to update and maintain website and procedures as required by operating system changes or enhancements.
Assists EEO Specialist with preparation, administration, and implementation of AAPs, Vets4212, and other regulatory reports as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, report writing.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills
Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Requires meticulous attention to accuracy and details
Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel.
Experience in higher education preferred.
