To serve as the link between the organization’s Leadership, Management team and our Associates. The Human Resources Manager is a hands-on role that will manage and organize the direct day to day Human Resources functions across commercial and federal business lanes. In this role, the Human Resources Manager will consult with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support business needs and add value to the organization. This role will lead and support a variety of HR work and projects, including (but not limited to) staffing, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations and alignment with II-VI corporate policies and values.
Develop and administer internal programs: Employee Relations, Leadership Training, Affirmative Action/EEO-1 requirements, Philanthropy, ensuring on-boarding has been effectively and efficiently completed.
Employee handbook, policy updates, benefits, compensation and orientation materials are consistent with current policies.
Help determine and manage employee compensation (includes benefit administration).
Organize, conduct and facilitate the performance review process.
Ensure policies that are developed are effectively communicated to all Associates.
Responsible for fair and equitable treatment of all Associates and candidates regarding interviews, selections, hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, lay-offs, terminations and training.
Responsible for effective resolution of personnel issues and potential issues.
Responsible for report generation to include: personnel and wage reviews, OSHA, EEO reports, Affirmative Action Plan reports, and others as required.
Develops department goals, objectives and processes.
Assists in system(s) selection and integration for Corporate HR goals.
Handles the organization, promotion, and successful accomplishment of employee activities. Special events, which become appropriate for the company to handle or participate in, are supported.
Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment housekeeping standards.

Minimum five years’ experience in Human Resources or similar.
Self-starter, challenger, strategic planner, analytical thinker, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Multi-task oriented with desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong, proactive leadership skills; history of successful leadership in a dynamic environment required.
Proficient with ADP, Timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Handles confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
Proficient with basic spelling, punctuation, grammar and business math.
Exercises good judgment.
Utilizes exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
Operates standard office equipment.
Judgment: Duties are varied in nature, requiring independent action and judgment in solving commonly encountered problems. Unusual cases or questionable matters are referred to this job’s immediate supervisor.
Initiative: Defined policies, guidelines, established practices and precedents guide work. Normally subject to managerial supervision and review of completed tasks.
