We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager/Generalist to join our team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Human Resources Manager will lead the full scope of the human resources function. The role encompasses various HR responsibilities including payroll, benefits administration, workers’ comp reporting and management, faculty/staff relations, HR systems, recruitment/hiring/onboarding, and regulatory compliance.
Specific duties include the following:
Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws; process bi-monthly payroll.
Manage and administer the school’s benefit program, including all heath ad welfare plans, annual open enrollment, and the 401k retirement program.
Administers the annual contract and salary increase process.
Annually reviews and makes recommendations to the executive leadership team for the improvement of school policies, procedures, and practices related to human resources matters.
Act as employee advocate, while balancing school needs and requirements.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or related field, and 5 years’ experience as an HR generalist. PHR or SHRM-CP certification and experience working in education or in a non-profit setting a plus. Must have experience processing payroll using Paychex, ADP or similar payroll system; working knowledge of benefits administration; thorough understanding of HR laws and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to engage and win the respect of employees and to successfully influence leadership on key change initiatives.
