Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Human Resources Consultant Assistant 1 "HRCA1" who will serve as the front-line Human Resources professional responsible for performing a variety of paraprofessional, technical and clerical tasks in support of the Human Resources Office. The HRCA1 is the front-line contact for staff, students, visitors and/or the general public accessing services in the Human Resources Office and is responsible for providing explanation and information regarding policies, rules and regulations applicable to human resources functional areas. Additional responsibilities of the HRCA1 include providing technical assistance to support other Human Resources Office functions, coordination of probationary, trial service and annual evaluations for classified staff, processing and reconciling department purchases, and performance of other related duties as assigned. This position co-reports to the Director for Compensation & Classification and the Director for Talent Acquisition & Benefits.

Columbia Basin College (CBC) serves the citizens of Benton and Franklin counties in Washington state with two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. CBC also provides one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma.
