RECEPTIONIST (HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE I) , Human Resources (HR) , to serve as a lead customer service ambassador to visitors of Human Resources. Will greet visitors, answer telephone and email inquiries, and triage visitor's requests; and research and resolve problems in a timely manner, providing accurate and consistent information on routine questions related to benefits and services provided by HR. Responsibilities will include serving as first point of contact for customers; welcoming visitors, determining nature of business, and announcing to the appropriate department; maintaining confidentiality; ensuring the front desk is attended at all times; handling front desk operational processes and training back-up staff on customer service standards and established protocols, e.g., visitor entry, appointment log, telephone inquiries, and cleanliness of reception desk and waiting area; answering basic questions about employee benefits; and performing other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED : two years' office or related experience; full working knowledge of general office practices/procedures; ability to recognize the unit's needs and own responsibility; proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office preferred) and ability and willingness to learn HR information systems, especially SAP; excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills; attention to detail; initiative, flexibility, and willingness to change and be accountable; and discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues. Must be able to interact effectively with clients, in-person and via telephone and email; prioritize competing demands and follow through on tasks despite constant interruptions; function with minimal supervision; and provide support to and collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
