The Human Resources Business Partner assists with the design and implementation of Human Resources training and development programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner will provide assist in realization of Phelps Health overall mission and vision specifically as it relates to the Human Capital portion of the system’s strategic plan.
Works with Human Resources and Organizational Development and Innovation to provide training and ongoing systems support, and as well as onboarding and retention initiatives.
Instructs classes or coordinates with outside instructors for program facilitation; Oversees activities related to nursing school programs.
Conducts human resources related training for staff and management personnel.
Coordinates with Human Resources’ subject matter experts and internal department management regarding instruction, topics, and scheduling of presenters needed for new employee orientation. Works with leadership team to ensure human resources’ and orientation-related training needs are met.
Coordinates with nursing schools to ensure that clinical contracts are in place for nursing students performing clinical rotations. Works with nursing schools to coordinate scheduling of student’s for clinical rotations.
Manages tuition reimbursement program including responding to employee questions, and interacting with them regarding course curriculum, grades, reimbursement for courses taken, and the like.
Works on special projects related to human resources or training programs, as assigned.
Develops or manages retention and incentive programs to improve employee satisfaction and minimize turnover.
Participates in the Missouri Hospital Association’s Workforce Development initiatives and serves as an active member on workforce relevant committees through MHA and other organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration or relevant degree required. Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or Business Administration desired.
Minimum Work Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years to five (5) years of progressively more advanced human resources or Human Resources generalist, adult training, or organizational development experience required. Desirable Skills/Experience in: Microsoft Suite, HR Software and Learning/Education Software, Public Speaking, Communication, Class Facilitation, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Training. Relationship management as well as project management skills. Critical thinking and creative problem solving. Proven team player with excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
ASTD, ATD or PHR/SHRM-CP certification required. Must be attained within two years of hire if a relevant certification is not held upon hire.
