Job Requisition Number: 26995. The UC Berkeley Library is an internationally renowned research and teaching facility at one of the nation’s premier public universities. With 25 distinct destinations, including the Doe and Moffitt libraries, The Bancroft Library, the C. V. Starr East Asian Library, and an array of subject specialty libraries, the University Library offers services and materials that span the disciplines. Library Human Resources administers a full range of personnel, employee relations, employment and benefits services for the c. 90 academic librarians, 350 career and limited employees and 600-700 student library employees who staff the Library system.
•Process non academic postings through Berkeley Regional Services (BRS). Coordinate all aspects of recruitment process. Coordinate and schedule phone and on campus interviews for all staff positions with interview panel and applicant. Coordinate onboarding process and hiring day. Manages on boarding procedures using internal Filemaker pro database and TAM. •Supports selected aspects of academic recruitment, posting, hiring and on boarding. •Assist and coordinate with Library business services all reimbursements requests related to hiring and relocations. •Supports search close out process working with Academic HR Analyst. •Manages onboarding procedures using internal Filemaker pro database. •Prepare and process job posting vendor invoices through UC Bearbuy •Serves as a back up to the student recruitment coordinator as needed. •Manage all departmental approved ticketed action service requests for CSS processing, such as hiring, salary adjustments, separations, promotions, reclasses and funding adjustments, etc. Input data into UCPath as needed. •Provide clerical, visitor screening, and reception duties for office suite. •Provide support for librarian review cycle process. •Responsible for additions, deletions, and changes of employee data in a FileMaker database and tracking those changes. •Other Duties as assigned.•Related Human Resources experience. •Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures. •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. •Strong customer service skills. •Exhibits aptitude for detail and organizational skills. •Ability to manage time, set priorities and complete assignments in context of frequent interruptions. •Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Google Docs. Filemaker and data entry experience. • Familiarity and experience in Human Resources Management System including running HR reports.
