Position Title: Associate Director of Human Resources for Benefits & Labor Relations
Salary: Mid-$60s, commensurate with experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related degree, plus 3-7 years of relevant human resources experience required. Relevant Master's degree preferred. Knowledge of state and federal laws, with specific knowledge of benefit regulations and trends, as well as labor and employment law. Experience working in a public institution or higher education, as well as experience working with multiple collective bargaining units and civil service is preferred.
The Associate Director of Human Resources for Benefits and Labor Relations directs a variety of College human resource processes and procedures revolving around benefits and labor relations, including, but not limited to, administering all college benefit programs, including health care, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as life insurance, FMLA, workers compensation, and legally mandated benefits, educating employees about benefit options, and answering questions about provided benefits. Conducts regular new employee orientations. Serves as the retiree liaison and administers retiree benefits. Serves as the front line for labor relations questions and processing grievances utilizing the various collective bargaining agreements. Represents Human Resources effectively and supports the achievement of departmental functions and goals.
