Christiana Care Health System is currently seeking a Sr. Physician HR Specialist to work at our Christiana Hospital/Health Care Center location. The selected individual for this position will serve as the Physician employee relations subject matter expert responsible for supporting physicians and physician leadership in creating an optimal practice/work environment that leads to a positive physician employment experience reflected in achievement of business objectives and advancing The Christiana Care Way.
Functions as an HR liaison between physician units/departments, credentialing, legal, medical/dental office and other HR sections for the purposes of interpreting and communicating HR policies and providing guidance to maintain labor law compliance.
Provides HR guidance to physicians and physician leadership regarding HR policies, conflict management and best practices related to employment.
Collaborates with physician leadership to conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations involving employed and community physicians providing recommendations for appropriate action consistent with CCHS policies, Medical/Dental policies and bylaws, ACGME/GMED guidelines as warranted.
Supports physician leadership in the development of action plans or other appropriate remediation tools to assist in the resolution of identified physician performance or behavioral problems.
Assists in the implementation of physician engagement and retention initiatives aligned with business goals, the Medical Group COMPACT and Christiana Care's Values and Behaviors.
B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Five years of experience in Human Resources.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.

Able to communicate confidently in a small or large group setting, exercise influence and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and key stakeholders.
