The Director, Human Resources has responsibility for the planning, development, implementation and administration of policies, procedures and practices affecting the continuum of employment for all Associates at SMCHH. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring a highly productive workforce unified in the shared focus on the mission, values and strategic objectives. Specific accountabilities include the placement of competent, oriented and trained staff at the appropriate timeframes, incorporating systems to obtain and maintain the highest level of sustained performance from the human resource investment, and ensuring a culture that promotes the values of Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
Master’s Degree preferred
5 years of progressive Human Resource Leadership Experience in hospital environment preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and rulings of governmental agencies including but not limited to FLSA, EEO, OSHA, Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation.
Prior experience and knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory standards in the healthcare industry.
Hands on experience with recruitment and employee relations a must.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or CHHR preferred
