St. Paul’s School is currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist for its 3 person HR office located in Concord, NH. This is a full time, full year, non-exempt staff position. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday (40 hours per week) from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and working closely with the Director of Human Resources. This position assists in recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, compensation and employee safety.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Administer and coordinate employee benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, etc.
Responsible for monitoring FMLA and Leave of Absence paperwork and tracking.
Serves as contact for Workers Compensation claims.
Onboard new employees.
Organize and conduct meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand School benefits and other related incentive programs.
Coordinates updates in the payroll system for all new hires, terminations and employee changes.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding insurance changes and coverage changes.
Work with the Director of Human Resources to ensure compliance with ACA and all information is entered correctly into the HRIS. Review ACA report monthly and correct as needed to ensure the information is correct and the School is in compliance.
Assists the Director in creating and managing efforts to enhance employee morale, recognition, and general satisfaction with the work environment.
Serves as backup to HR Assistant. Ability to assume enhanced responsibility when Director is absent.
Qualifications: The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, labor relations or a related field and at least 3-5 years’ experience or a combination of education and experience. This individual should also be effective at communication, multi-tasking and teamwork in an extremely fast paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and sense of professionalism when interacting with all level of employees.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organize skills are required as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Great organization skills/attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong computer skills – including ability to utilize HRIS, Microsoft Office (word, excel);
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
