Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Labor Relations, the position will provide the full range of talent recruiting and hiring needs for all BHCC faculty and staff positions. Responsible for creating and implementing best practices in recruitment and search processes in order to identify, select, promote and retain the best and most diverse workforce.
Examples of Duties:
Monitor all aspects of staff and faculty recruitment and search activities including advising on and approving search proposals, overseeing the management of applicant statuses and communications in the applicant tracking system and reviewing and approving hiring proposals.
Identify improvements to processes and system and partner with hiring managers to develop effective and appropriate recruitment and selection plans in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and the Massachusetts Community Colleges Policy on Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
Guide hiring managers through the recruitment process to ensure that positions are filled in a timely manner.
Review resumes and applications through applicant tracking system to pre-screen for hiring managers.
Coach and advise hiring managers and search committee members on interviewing techniques and acceptable hiring practices.
Attend recruiting events such as career fairs and networking events to build pipelines of diverse talent for a variety of roles.
Work with the Director of Diversity and Inclusion on diversity goals and recruitment strategies.
Work with Business Analyst and applicant tracking system vendor to maximize the utilization of system functionality.
Other duties as assigned.
Master's degree with a minimum of five years' experience in Human Resources in a professional capacity with at least two years of recruiting experience
Excellent listening and customer service skills, tact and diplomacy
Ability to integrate and analyze information; strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
Higher Education human resources experience
Experience in a unionized environment
Salary Range: $75,000.00-$85,000.00
