The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for leading the recruitment and selection process for staff positions and maintaining the HRIS system. This role develops, implements, measures, and improves recruiting strategies which lead to identifying talented candidates; partners with external organizations to build and implement a capable and diverse pool of candidates; develops and maintains relationships with diverse community based organizations; leads the creation of interviewing plans; screens and interviews candidates; develops meaningful relationships with candidates by providing a thoughtful experience, ensuring each candidate is communicated to in a timely manner; creates interview tools for hiring managers; and stays current with sourcing resources.
In addition, this position will be responsible for managing the onboarding process, creating standard and custom ad hoc reports, maintaining data integrity in the HRIS system, performing data-entry on employee updates and changes, and assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; minimum of 2 years direct experience recruiting for positions at all levels within an organization (prefer experience with an emphasis on developing and implementing diversity recruiting strategies) and working knowledge of an HRIS system (preferably Ultimate Software). Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. To perform this job successfully, an individual will have: the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently and as part of a team; excellent oral and written communications; detail-oriented, organized, and a problem solver; ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines; customer service oriented with demonstrated ability to interact with individuals in a courteous and professional manner; and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
