The HR Generalist is responsible for a wide range of human resources functions including but not limited to: compensation and benefits administration, HRIS and compliance. This position will partner with other members of the HR team, and work collaboratively to implement HR policies, practices and procedures and actively contribute to the overall goals and priorities of Lesley University and the Office of Human Resources.
Responsible for benefits administration, including Health, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, HSA, Disability, Long-term Care, Workers Compensation, Unemployment, Life, 403b, Tuition benefits, and other ancillary programs such as parking, etc.Assists with implementation of new plans and changes to existing plans, delivery of plan education to employees, and maintenance of master plan files with all changes, details of discussions and decisions. Processes mid-year and annual benefit election enrollments, changes, and terminations. Ensures compliance with mandatory benefit plan notifications and disclosures to participants. Updates benefit plan information on the HR website annually and as needed.
Supports Supervisor in coordinating Annual Enrollment period by developing marketing material and managing logistics with Brokers, and coordinating the annual benefits fairs.
Coordinates open enrollment for Adjuncts through ACA and ensures timely billing.
Reconciles bills for medical, dental, and vision benefits and generates check requests for payment of LTC, life insurance/LTD/ADD. Calculates imputed income for effected employees and notifies Payroll.
Tuition Remission/Exchange Program: Administer the tuition remission and tuition exchange programs throughout the year; collect forms, track data in Excel, process data in Colleague, and manage billing and student concerns with student accounts; assists the Supervisor in all matters related to Tuition Remission and Tuition Exchange/CIC.
Coordinates all Ergonomic Assessments with TPA.
Coordinates with staff on Unpaid Leave or LTD for submission of health/welfare premium payments.
Prepares COBRA Notification for the COBRA administrator.
Manages the employee leave time system.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records.
Runs routine reports and writes ad-hoc reports as needed.
Participates in developing department strategy, goals, and objectives. Assists in the development and implementation of various human resources policies and procedures.
Provides general customer service support and back-up in-person, over the phone, and through the HR and Benefits e-mail boxes.
Creates efficient HR administrative processes by applying continuous improvement measures and methods. Manages documentation and storage of all HR SOP's and HR document repository.
Maintains knowledge of trends and changes in human resource legislation, educates management, and assists in performing internal audits to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and University policies. Keep abreast of human resource programs, activities, policies, and procedures to make recommendations, changes or innovations based on internal needs and external market data.
Collaborates with peers on various project teams to design/deliver targeted initiatives. This includes cross-training in a number of different human resource functions.
Maintains a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Lesley University, its programs, policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
Attends provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.

Performs other related duties and functions as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Business, or other related field.
Two or more years of experience in Human Resources.
Considerable knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR principles and practices.
Advanced computer skills required, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, familiarity with HRIS, ATS & ERP systems and the ability to analyze situations and complex data.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and set and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with a high tolerance for interruptions.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Must demonstrate strong collaborative skills and teamwork and consistently exhibit excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the diverse needs/concerns of students, faculty, staff and the public, demonstrating a strong customer-service orientation.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, does your visa status allow you to work at Lesley University.
Experience with data analysis and report writing.
Salary Grade 25: $53,769 - $63,984
