Coordinates the payroll operations of a unit in a college or division. Serves as liaison between Human Resources and Payroll.
Audits all payroll paperwork which may include: timesheets, paychecks, payroll reports, and Personal Action Requests (PARs).
Reviews and corrects discrepancies in trial and final payrolls to ensure accuracy.
Acts as a liaison between the college and central payroll, assisting departments and employees with payroll related problems.
Distributes, collects and audits biweekly and monthly timesheets, researching and correcting any problems.
Monitors employee assignments in university database to ensure accuracy.
Maintains electronic database of all payroll documentation for unit or college.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
High school and 3 years experience
Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
