Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with the senior team to develop talent, engage employees, recommend and support strategic initiatives, and build strong and effective HR processes to meet AgeOptions objectives. You will be hands-on in all areas of HR as this is primarily a solo-HR role. Enjoy a collaborative work environment, excellent benefits, and a 35-hour work week in a convenient Oak Park location.
Key aspects of the Senior Human Resources Manager role:
Ensure all HR processes are effective and meet the needs of the organization
Handle and manage all day-to-day HR needs
Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team
Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts
Support and counsel managers ensuring adherence to policy
Assess organizational training needs
Establish and deliver ongoing staff development
Manage employee benefit programs; act as liaison to brokers/consultants, payroll provider
Partner with the CEO in identifying, developing and implementing organizational structure changes and effective succession planning
Develop, implement and execute a wide variety of HR strategies and programs
Focus on instilling a culture of employee engagement and collaboration
Qualifications for the Senior Human Resources Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent experience. SPHR certification preferred.
Minimum eight (8) years of progressive HR experience with practical knowledge in a variety of HR disciplines
Superior interpersonal and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of colleagues and external vendors/partners
Function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, assuming ownership
Ability and willingness to work at both a strategic and tactical level
