TALENT DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT , Resource Development (RD)-Human Resources (HR) and Strategic Talent Management Team , to collaborate with HR colleagues and RD leaders and managers to enable RD's diverse staff to be fully engaged and reach their full potential. Will design, develop, and deliver high quality, client-centered programs and resources that advance RD's talent management priorities. These programs and resources respond to department-specific needs and align with MIT/RD goals and culture.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in business, organization development, training and development, HR, or related field; at least seven years' direct/related consulting and training experience; experience applying talent management, change management, organizational design, and workforce planning principles in large, complex organizations; ability to assess organizational culture and create and implement appropriate interventions; collaborative approach to work and ability to influence cross-functionally through a consultative methodology; excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to establish rapport and credibility with a wide range of constituencies in a culturally diverse environment and to partner with others to assure high quality outcomes; experience developing learning programs that incorporate principles of instructional design and adult learning theory; strong presentation, meeting design, instructional design, and facilitation skills; knowledge of adult learning theory and evidence of using it to develop innovative learning solutions across a range of organizational levels; ability to develop diverse learning solutions that provide high impact and sustained learning; experience designing, delivering, evaluating, and assessing learner-centered, results-based training; experience ensuring that program-specific messaging and branding is consistent with departmental approach; ability to organize and complete multiple projects, measure results, and serve diverse clients; and ability to analyze and leverage data to influence decision-making.
